Isn't that the truth? I'm a USMC veteran and it's astonishing what people will say. I am so sick of the "I support the troops!" people who slap a bumper sticker on their car and call it good. I remember joining a Facebook group for supporting the troops and I asked what any of the many fans actually DID to support their troops other than clicking a Facebook link.
You know what they did?
They yelled at me.
Some went into the "our boys" tirade against me, as if I'm some angry bitch hating on the military...after all, the troops are all men, of course. There aren't any female vets out there. No sir, not a one. This female vet doesn't exist, and I sure as hell didn't give up my health and come out permanently disabled. That just doesn't happen.
