Who's Tired of Pink?

I saw this posted over on standyourground.com and, seeing as how it's one of the most offensive things I've had the misfortune to read as of late, felt the need to address it.

Here's the article, written by Erica Jong and found in 'The Huffington Post',

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/erica-jong/whos-tired-of-pink_b_81087.html

I am so tired of pink men bombing brown children and rationalizing it as fighting terrorism. I am so tired of pink men telling women (of all colors) what to do with their wombs--which connect with their brains--in case you forgot. I am so tired of pink men telling us we should stay in Iraq for generations. I am so tired of pink men buying bombs and cheating schools. I am so tired of pink men having wives who stand behind them and nod sagely on television. I am so tired of pink men expecting that someone--a brown, black, yellow or white woman--will trail behind them changing light bulbs, taking out garbage, washing laundry, keeping food in the house, taking care of kids of all ages, of parents of all ages. I am so tired of pink men whose wives double or triple the family income thinking they can spend it without doing a damn thing at home. I am so tired of pink men spouting nonsense on TV. I am so tired of pink men arguing, blathering, bloviating, predicting the future--usually wrongly--and telling women to shut up. I am so sick of hearing that another pink man has dropped his children out a window, off a bridge or killed his pregnant wife or killed his unpregnant wife because he was infatuated with another pregnant woman. I am so sick of pink men making war and talking about peace. I am so sick of pink men appointing their mediocre cronies to judgeships, to political advisors, to cushy jobs, to columns in the paper, to multimillion-dollar posts as CEOS or actors (while the actresses make less) or producers or writers or newsreaders or talk show bloviators or supposedly sage counselors at law. I am so tired of pink men.

And by the way some brown men and tan men and wheaten men do these things too.

Don't tell me about women who kill. I know there are some--but fewer. So let's just remember our mothers--who bore us, protected us against our fathers and grandfathers and all the pink or brown men who wanted to rape us or kill us or starve us because we were girls.

I am not stupid. I know all generalizations are false. I know there are bad mothers, bad women, bad sisters, bad aunts, and bad females of every stripe. But I have seen enough men in high office to last a lifetime. Let's give women a chance!

Aside from being one of the most racist, biggoted pieces of writing I've ever seen, the inaccuries are almost laughable. How about the pink men who's wives "stand behind them and nod sagely on television"? When's the last time you saw that happen? Perhaps Ms. Jong hasn't watched television since the early 60's, but the only thing I see I wives on T.V. doing with their heads is shaking them, while rolling their eyes at the men who portray their bumbling, incompetant husbands.

The author states that she is "so tired of pink men telling women (of all colors) what to do with their wombs--which connect with their brains--in case you forgot". I'm pretty sure that Ms. Jong is an American and, last I checked, here in the U.S., men have zero say in what women do with their wombs. Even when that womb carries a child which is fully one half of him, and a woman intends to end the life of that child, a man still has absolutely no say.

"I am so tired of pink men expecting that someone--a brown, black, yellow or white woman--will trail behind them changing light bulbs, taking out garbage....". This would have been more accurate if it had been written in reverse, i.e., 'I am so tired of pink women expecting that someone....will trail behind them changing light bulbs, taking out garbage....".

The author goes on to say, " I am so tired of pink men arguing, blathering, bloviating, predicting the future--usually wrongly--and telling women to shut up." I find this statement almost amusing, coming from someone who lives in a society where women are encouraged to be rude, overbearing and belligerent, where they're applauded for treating men like crap ("You go girl").

I could continue picking apart every inaccurate comment and portrayal, but I'd rather move on to the downright misandric statements.

"I am so sick of hearing that another pink man has dropped his children out a window, off a bridge or killed his pregnant wife or killed his unpregnant wife because he was infatuated with another pregnant woman." I am tired of that, too. Much like I am tired of hearing about mothers who murder their children, who toss their newborn infants in garbage cans, mothers who systematically abuse their children in order to garner attention and sympathy from others. I'm also sick of hearing about grown women seducing their underage students, mothers prostituting their daughters or turning a blind eye while their children are molested because it's an exchange they're willing to make for companionship. I'm sick of women walking out on their marriages and breaking up their families because they get bored or decide they want a change. I'm sick of (and please note that, unlike the author, I don't discriminate by gender or race) every person in this society who's willing to exchange anything of real worth for a little temporary convenience or selfish personal gain.

And, possibly worst of all, "So let's just remember our mothers--who bore us, protected us against our fathers and grandfathers and all the pink or brown men who wanted to rape us or kill us or starve us because we were girls." This makes me just see red. How dare she. How dare the author villify every man who's ever lived. How dare she declare our fathers and grandfathers, men who loved, defended and cared for us, rapists and murderers. I'll tell you what I'm sick of, I'm sick of women like Ms. Jong. I'm sick of women who do their best to destroy our faith and trust in men. I'm sick of women who take a calling as wonderful and special as 'father' and twist it into something deviant and perverse. I'm sick of women who make me roll my eyes and shake my head in disgust. I'm sick of women who make me embarassed of my own gender.

One of the most disturbing aspects of this article is not that the author is so unflinchingly hateful and biggoted. Unfortunately, our society is riddled with such individuals. What's truly disturbing is that this piece is written and published and, for the most part, nary a word is said. Can you imagine if a 'pink man' had written this about women of any color? Can you imagine the outrage and cries of racism and misogyny? Such a thing would never exist. Nobody would be foolish enough to publish such a thing, yet, here we see Ms. Jong's article, spewing hatred and racism....but where's the outrage? For all their purported privilege, it seems few groups are as acceptably discriminated against as 'pink men'.

Kim,

You just get that chainsaw of yours worked on? You had it goin' FULL TILT when you tore up that piece of trash! And I thought The Pink Bible was bad...

Someone posted this on Mancoat a few days ago, and the guys have torn it to shreds. I didn't read the whole thing until now though; it was too difficult to read, to rambling and incoherent, not to mention full of you know what.

Dennis Prager had a good column on this victimization stuff. I think he's on Townhall.com, but I'm not sure; you can Google his name. Anyway, he was discussing what happens when a society is turning totalitarian, and its freedoms are being lost. He listed like ten things that happen on the way to totalitarianism, and ONE of those things is the victim complex, a la the feminazis.

He said that, when one group of people is painted as victims, that another group or groups are portrayed as their oppressors. The victims are more inclined to feel justified in striking out at their oppressors, whether they're real or imagined; in the victim's mind, there's no difference, facts and truth notwithstanding. Furthermore, as time passed, the victim group would be less likely to see their oppressors as human, so that they'd have little or no reluctance to harm them; after all, they're subhuman cretins who are undeserving of any human rights. THAT is what is truly dangerous about what Miss Jong and her ilk say & do. If it weren't for Phyllis Schlafly, I think I and my fellow men would be tortured and imprisoned now...

Even if things don't get to that point, this sort of erroneously yet widespread belief cannot do anything but divide the sexes even more; it'll put men and women at each others' throats even more than they are now! If this continues, then men will no longer be willing to protect and defend women. I know that I'm already there, and I somehow don't think that I'm the only one...

I would protect those women in my family. If I knew someone like you in real life, she'll get the nod too. But, if the woman is not family and I don't know her, then too bad; if she needs a man's help for something, she can do it herself! After all, a woman needs a man like a fish needs bicycle, right? Women don't need no stinkin' man...

All I know is that I'm sick & tired of being blamed for everything wrong in the world, just because I'm male. I'm sick & tired of being discriminated against because I'm a man. I'm sick & tired of having my rights taken away. I'm sick & tired being told that I deserve all this. I'm sick & tired of being sick & tired, and so are an increasing number of men...

When the tsunamis hit Sri Lanka at that part of the world in 2004, there WAS warning of the impending disaster. Granted, it wasn't much warning, but it was enough for people to realize that something was very wrong, and to allow them to get to higher ground. What was the warning? The fact that nearby parts of the ocean bottom were exposed, areas that are normally covered with water at all times.

Before the tidal waves hit, I read numerous accounts about how the ocean bottom was exposed. Even hundreds of yards from shore, the ocean's bottom was visible; people were WALKING on sections of the exposed bottom! Boats were resting on the bottom, even though they'd have normally been riding at anchor where they were. Clearly, this was not a normal occurrence; clearly, something was very unusual; something was wrong, and there was.

If I'd been there, I would have known beyond ANY doubt that something was wrong! I used to surf a lot, so I know a thing or two about ocean dynamics; after all, as a surfer, I'd have to in order to ride the waves. What else is surfing, but harnessing the ocean's forces for propulsion? Is this not the essence of surfing? Therefore, is it not incumbent upon all who ride the waves to know a thing or two about the ocean? I think so.

Knowing what I do about tidal dynamics, knowing what causes high & low tides, the visible ocean bottom would have immediately tipped me off that something was wrong. Why would the bottom be exposed? Where did all that water go? Why didn't it NORMALLY do so? Was that not enough evidence that the normal forces of the moon & sun didn't cause this anomaly? For me, it would have been; my first inclination would be to think that something serious is getting ready to happen-something like an incoming tidal wave.

Why would I have thought this? Because, as a swell, or unbroken wave, gets near shore, it rises up & starts to curl; in surfing lingo, we'd say it "jacks up". As the wave jacks up, the water retreats from the beach's edge; the water gets pulled into the incoming, breaking wave, which is what CAUSES it to retreat in the first place. Well, the exposed ocean bottom that was witnessed before the 2004 tsunami was the same thing, only on a much LARGER scale. I would have gotten out of dodge, and gotten my derriere to higher ground ASAP!

Why is this relevant? Because, to those who knew what to look for, the ocean's withdrawal was a clear, convincing warning of impending disaster. It was a calm, quiet, yet unmistakable portent to a force so big that it could not be controlled, a force that can crush, kill, and destroy all that get in its path. A tidal wave is such a force.

Likewise, we have men withdrawing from women; men are withdrawing from society, leaving parts of society exposed, much like the exposed ocean bottom seen before the 2004 tsunamis struck. As we men have retreated into the Ghost Nation, the MSM has only now started to ACKNOWLEDGE that men are disappearing from society, if they mention it at all! In the unlikely event that these talking heads, these 'pundits', try to figure out WHY, they get it all wrong; they blame men yet again for something we did not do. They have no clue about what's going on, let alone why-and they want to tell US what's happening?! Please...

Because of this, most people are totally clueless that an increasing number of men are retreating from society; few people outside our circles know that this is happening at all, let alone the reason why. Most in society are like the dumb tourists in Sri Lanka and other areas slammed by the tsunamis in 2004, totally clueless as to the nature of the warning staring them in the face; they have NO IDEA WHATSOEVER of the horrific, impending disaster that's awaiting them.

I believe that men's withdrawal from society is analogous to the withdrawal of the ocean in areas hit by the 2004 tsunamis; things may be quiet & peaceful for now, but they will not remain so for long. Like the tidal waves that hit those along the Indian Ocean, men's anger is an onrushing, unstoppable tidal wave that'll smash everything and everybody who's near the coast when it hits. A majority of women and their mangina enablers should be afraid; they need to be VERY afraid. You cannot disenfranchise half of humanity for decades and expect anything but calamity to be the end result. Anyone who does so must realize that all men have their limits, and once these limits have been exceeded, men will be angry. They'll be angry, and they'll have nothing to lose. An angry man with nothing to lose is a dangerous man. It's too bad the feminazis didn't think of that when they were engaged in hurting us...

When the tsunami of male anger, hatred, and righteous indignation hits, women will wonder what happened to them? Where did this come from? How come no one told me? How come no one warned me about this?! Uh, darlin' the evidence was right there in front of your face; if it had been a snake, it would have bitten you in the ass!! You had plenty of warning, my dear; your problem was that you didn't realize it as such, let alone heed the warning you were given. That's your fault, not mine, and I do not feel sorry for you. You should have thought about that before you cheered when laws were passed stripping men of their rights, manhood, and dignity; you should have thought about that before you made manhood and anything thereof a crime.

Alas, you didn't, so now finally paid the price, Only now you can't invoke the pussy pass to escape the consequences like you normally would; you cannot cry, "But I'm a girl, wahhhh!" You see, the laws of Nature and Nature's God do not contain a pussy pass provision; they do not have one standard for men, while having another for women. The laws of Nature and Nature's God, unlike man's laws, are totally impartial; they work the same for everybody. Observe them, and life will be good for you; break them, and you'll pay the price for your crime. BTW, ignorance is no excuse, either. If you break the laws of Nature and Nature's God, you WILL be punished-end of story.

Those are my thoughts, Kim. You made another good post as usual; you tore up that piece of trash in the way it deserved to be torn up-in pieces! Have a good day...

Sadly Kim, nowadays she's nothing special, and I mean that in every possible sense...

Like you say, if a man had dared to write that, the outcry would be unbelievable if it had been published in the first place.

Its gotten to such a point that I no longer care what most women have to say about men anymore, not because I'm an unfeeling uncaring man, but because to me it is just noise.

The goal of feminists and their like minded people in power is to drive a wedge between men and women, to forever alienate what was supposed to be a partnership between the genders.

It's really sad to me, because I used to care, but not anymore....

Nice to see a "pink" woman like Erica Jong whine about oppression and such. I just wonder where men of different hues fit in to her hierarchy of oppression.

One wonders.

Blayze said...

I read most of her post, Blade. I believe her "hierarchy of oppression" goes as follows:

White men
All other men
Women

Excellent post, Kim. I'm a white man, shouldn't I have all sorts of contacts I can count on to have Jong's filth removed from the Internet?

No, I can't. I'm just an ordinary person living my ordinary life, the same as almost everyone else.

@ Markymark

All I have to say is, Wow, what an amazing post.

@ Anon

Exactly, and the worst part is that nobody even questions it. Nobody bats an eye at the 'us against them' mentality held by most women. It was never meant to be a competition. What was meant to be a perfect union was warped in such a way as to divide what was meant to be united.

@blademonkey

I'm sure men of all other colors fit somewhere just below pink men, not quite as vile, but still, by virtue of their gender, evil oppressors (I can't even type that without rolling my eyes).

@blayze

Excellent post, Kim. I'm a white man, shouldn't I have all sorts of contacts I can count on to have Jong's filth removed from the Internet?

Yes, you'd think that with the total power and suppressive control you all yield you'd at least be able to eliminate the man-bashing that occurs in every aspect of our society. [/sarcasm]

@George

Thanks!

The whole thing is utter discrimination from someone I am sure, believes strongly in discrimination. Pink men? Obviously white men. The article is repulsive, but really struck a nerve when she said, " So let's just remember our mothers--who bore us, protected us against our fathers and grandfathers and all the pink or brown men who wanted to rape us or kill us or starve us because we were girls." Protected me against my father and grandfathers?! My mother never did such thing, my father or grandfather never would have ever done such a thing! How dare she say something so venomous that's not true. Almost all humans aren't out to rape and kill anyone just because they are female. That's a very select few of men that do. And from what I have heard, a man who actually rapes ( real rape, not regret it or a mistake rape) and/or kills another woman or child is the lowest, even in a max security prison, will be hated by the majority of other prisons.
I got an e-mail several months back about how a woman can be safe and the tips were brute. Over-cautious much? One tip was, " If you see a man alone in a car, don't go near it." or something similiar. Oh, please, I've seen many men sitting alone in cars, they are waiting for wives usually, maybe sisters, daughters, girlfriends who are shopping. they aren't even thinking about harming anyone. Other tips were just as odd. It's okay to be cautious, don't get me wrong, but what they gave were extremes and it was definitely a way to make one terrified of every man in the world, they should have saved space and just said, " If you see a man, RUN and HIDE!", because that was the whole point to the e-mail anyway. That article is just as bad as another I saw about not allowing white men to be part of firefighter recruitment in the UK, I think. Women and minority men only. Next white men are going to be in the position of the same scrutiny that was once given to black slaves. We haven't come near that yet, but white men to several people aren't worth anything today. I'm not tired of "pink" men, my family is full of "pink" men. This lady, I doubt is a pink lady, I doubt anyone in her family is "pink" either, if they are, seems she has deeper issues she needs to work with and needs to avoid spewing garbage to the public. Okay, I'm done. Long enough.

I read this article somewhere I can't remember and I had to ask myself what planet is she living on. Really, where are all these pink men. Erica Jong has a very vivid imagination. I believe she hates men first and foremost because they exist. It's too bad that this is the kind of thinking that women are indoctrinated into in those women's classes.

I wish they give this bigoted and sexist wretch of a woman Erica Jong the Don Imus treatment for her hateful rhetoric but with one minor difference she doesn't get her job back.

That bigoted loon's only job should be scrubbing toilets and picking up dog crap on the ground.

Erica Jong is a nasty vile racist and sexist cretin herself.
I"m not white and I find her bigotry to be vile and she's no better than any nazi or KKK member.

My disgust at Ms. Jong is rivaled only by how proud I am of my "pink man" who is serving as a Combat Medic in Northern Iraq as I type this; the man I love more than life itself and whom I've sworn to follow to hell and back if need be.

It's all been expressed in the blog post and comments. All I've got to add is wow.... just.... wow! And I thought I'd seen it all? WOW!

This woman (I think) is the autoress of 'fear of flying' and another book. These were stories of her life going around in a constant sexualy starved stew and fantasising about the sex she would have if she were liberated.

All very self indulgent and an interesting paradox. Why do women who hate men desire so much sex with them?

Maybe women who think they are men (lots of casual sex ext) end up heartbroken because they secretly want more than feminism allows them to want.

How far do you think that would go? It would be called racist and misogynist by a hundred people before it was even published. Yet I did not change any words except those regarding gender and race.
